Healing Centred Care for Pacific

The aim of the Healing Centred Care training is to support the workforce with knowledge and skills to work with Pasifika who have experienced trauma.

Description

At the end of the training participants will:

  • learn about different types of trauma and how trauma develops
  • learn about Pasifika perspectives on trauma, and the impact trauma has on Pasifika communities
  • gain practical skills in healing-centered approaches
  • practice self-care intentionally

Is this training for you?

This is a foundational level training for anybody working in a Pasifika Primary Mental Health and Addiction role. Priority will be given to people working in Pasifika Access and Choice funded roles. 

Similar workshops

This training aims to equip the Access and Choice workforce with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to substance use challenges encountered in Pasifika Primary Mental Health and Addiction services.

Tu Tonu Cultural Case Formulation training is an enhanced level training for registered healthcare professionals working within Pasifika Access & Choice services. The training focuses on developing knowledge and skills to create culturally informed case formulations using the Tu Tonu matrix as a tool.
